Sixth Form Scholarships

Sixth Form Scholarships

A Gordonstoun education aims to develop the whole student. We stretch students not just academically, but also through outdoor, cultural and sporting challenges that are integral to School life at Gordonstoun.

We therefore welcome applications for Sixth Form Scholarships from candidates with skills in any one or more of the above areas. The following Sixth Form Scholarships and Bursaries are available:

Academic Scholarships

We shall assess candidates on the basis of:

Headteacher's report

We shall select potential candidates after receiving and studying reports from their Headteachers.

We expect evidence of candidates' ability to embark on a two-year Sixth Form course with the prospect of obtaining at least three very good passes at A-Level.

Successful candidates will be invited to Gordonstoun on Friday and Saturday, 21 and 22 January 2011 for the written examination and interview.

Written examination

This is in three parts. Each candidate will take written papers in English and Mathematics. Copies of past papers are not available.

Interview

Candidates will be interviewed by senior members of Gordonstoun staff. They will also be asked to complete practical problem-solving exercises.
