1st XI vs XL Club
Report By Hamish T, Year 12
The first game of the season was a tough encounter for the Gordonstoun 1st XI against The Forty Club. The Forty Club chose to bat first and scored 244-5. Theo Barker and Jai Chopra both bowled very well and although the wickets didn’t flow, chances did come as a result of their persistence.
After a long session in the field Gordonstoun were into bat and good performances from Edward R and William McD helped move the total along, however The Forty Club bowling attack was too good and Gordonstoun couldn’t reach the target set.
The Forty Club won the game by 129 runs.
