Ryan Maclean, Silversmith, Bruce 2000
Gordonstoun's School Shop is proud to be stocking exquisite hand-crafted pieces of silverware, designed and produced by OG Silversmith Ryan Maclean especially for Gordonstoun. Each piece has been created using age-old techniques, finished with care and hand engraved with the Gordonstoun crest. The gently plannished finish plays with the light, and gilt interiors add instant richness to each piece. All pieces can be engraved with a personal message, and would be beautiful gifts to commemorate special birthdays or any other important occasion such as Confirmation, graduation, election as a CB etc.

To show his support of the School's continuing fundraising campaign, Ryan has generously agreed to donate 50% of the profit from each piece to the Campaign.
About the Silversmith
Always having a keen interest in Art and Design whilst at school, on leaving Gordonstoun Ryan (Bruce 2000) went on to gain a degree in 3-D design at Manchester University, then spent two years developing his skills at Bishopsland Educational Trust just outside Henley on Thames, a Postgraduate training centre for jewellers and silversmiths that has been called ‘the Sandhurst for Silversmiths’. He is currently an Artist-in-Residence at The Glasgow School of Art and his work can be found in the finest private collections and the most exclusive exhibitions. This September he will be showing his work at the prestigious Goldsmiths Fair in London.
Ryan is happy to discuss your ideas for commissioning a different piece should you wish. For further information and examples of Ryan’s contemporary silverware, or to commission a unique piece, please view his website www.ryanmccleansilver.co.uk
