Sandy Paterson - Former Head of Geography

Sandy Paterson, former Head of Geography at Gordonstoun, has taken heed of the advice offered by Kurt Hahn by following his ‘grand passion’ and heading for a career in the hills. He has hung up his cap and gown and now runs hill walking, navigation, scrambling, rock climbing, winter skills and ice climbing courses in the Cairngorms as well as all over Scotland. He also ventures further afield – he has recently returned from climbing in the Alps with Mr Monteith – another former Head of Geography – and in addition to the Alps he can provide instruction and guiding in wintry Norway and sunny Spain. He is a full member of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors and holds the Mountain Instructors Certificate (MIC), the highest mountain qualification in the UK. If you are thinking about reliving those legendary moments on House expedition he is the man to help. Please feel free to check out his website http://www.sandypaterson.co.uk/ and if you have any questions just drop him a line at info@sandypaterson.co.uk - he assures us his advice is always free!
