How can you help?
There are many ways one can support Phase 2 of the Campaign, and these are shown below. For help and advice with any of these methods please contact the Campaign office.
One-off cheques
These can be sent direct to the school. Donations should be made payable to Gordonstoun Schools Limited
Standing Orders
In order to spread the financial burden of making a pledge to the school, donations can be made by standing order and spread out over several months or years.
Shares
Gifts of shares are most welcome and under new tax rulings for charitable giving, there are significant tax benefits to you, the donor.
Gifts in Kind
Donations of Gifts in Kind such as labour or materials are also recognised contributions.
Named Gifts
In return for major gifts over £100,000 we can dedicate or name specific areas within the new sports centre or set up named scholarships and bursaries.
Gift Aid
Gift Aid provides a significant tax benefit for the School and also to the donor who pays tax at the higher rate.
The School can reclaim tax paid on your donation at 28p for every £1.00 you donate.
Legacies
A legacy to Gordonstoun School is free from Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax. A legacy can be a gift of property, a work of art, an amount of money or a gift of shares. All those who indicate their desire to leave a legacy to Gordonstoun are then eligible to join The Kurt Hahn Foundation.
Further information on aspect of supporting the Campaign can be sought from the Campaign Co-ordinator, Mr Richard Devey, or the Campaign Secretary, Mrs Andrea Webster tel: +44 (0)1343 837827.
