Boarding and Student Wellbeing

As one of the few remaining genuinely full boarding schools in Great Britain, we place particular importance on ensuring that all students at Gordonstoun have their wellbeing carefully and sensitively managed. Any student joining the school is well cared for, and monitored throughout his or her education.

Our systems are built around our pastoral aims, which closely reflect the Gordonstoun ethos and our aim of developing the whole person.

This is achieved by an exceptional pastoral team, who devote boundless time, energy and expertise to developing, encouraging, advising and leading students.

Spiritual Life  comes under the general heading of pastoral care but is also a separate area of student life at Gordonstoun.

In addition to this, the house staff are supported by a team of year leaders who provide whole school perspective both in providing social activities for their year group, and guidance, advice and discipline where needed.
