Governor

This is a key appointment which will include chairing the new Audit and Risk Committee, whose role will be to advise the Board and Executive on key matters of financial, reputational and legal risk, as well as to oversee the annual audit. 


Sailing and Outdoor Education Instructor 

This seasonal position requires the post holder to work for two days a week during the School’s sailing season as Chief Instructor at our sailing base in Hopeman, Moray, where Gordonstoun provides a range of sailing and power boating activities for students from ages 6-18. For the remainder of the working week the post holder will assist in the delivery of outdoor education and learning sessions and activities. Essential qualifications are RYA Senior Dingy Instructor; RYA Safety Boat Certificate; RYA First Aid Certificate; RYA Powerboat Instructor; Mountain Training Mountain Leader Award and relevant First Aid Qualification.


General Catering Assistants
(closing date extended - 1 June 2018)

A vacancy has arisen for a General Catering Assistant to work an average of 29.5 hours per week with a variety of shifts. This is a maternity cover position. These shifts are spread over a two week rota period with every other weekend off. We also require a General Catering Assistant to work an average of 26.75 hours, shifts are also spread over a two week rota period. This is a permanent position.


Sports Coach
(closing date extended - 25 May 2018)

The Sports Coach will be fully involved in the coaching of many different sports at all levels in the Senior and Junior Schools as experience and opportunity permits. He/she will also be involved in the PE classroom programme and in sports administration. He/she is directly responsible to the Sport and Activities Co-ordinator for all aspects of his/her work apart from pastoral and general duties. Experience in rugby, hockey, netball, athletics, swimming or tennis is desirable, ideally specialising in more than one.


Laundry Assistant
(closing date 21 May 2018)

The Domestic Department requires a Laundry Assistant to maintain cleanliness in clothing, bedding and household textiles as expected by schools standards within the school laundry. The hours are: Mondays and Tuesdays 0800-1600; alternate Wednesdays 0800-1330; Thursday and Fridays 0800-1430.


Chef
(closing date 1 June 2018)

Gordonstoun is seeking a forward thinking, proactive individual with a background in Hospitality to work in the school's Refectory. It is essential that he/she is educated to SVQ Level 1 or 2 with relevant catering experience. An elementary food hygiene certificate is also essential and experience of working in a similar environment or large scale catering is desirable.
