Junior School Taster Weekend

Twice a year we throw open the doors of the Junior School to enable prospective pupils get a taste of what it is like to be at Gordonstoun. The weekend starts at 10am on a Saturday and ends at 10am the next day.

The aim of the Taster weekend is to boost confidence, for your son/daughter to have an adventure and also allows us to get to know your child and their interests and abilities. The morning involves some age appropriate assessments alongside the other children, followed by an afternoon of Outdoor Education and sporting activity in the Sports Hall. Later on they will enjoy some fun activities with our Drama Department before experience the evening film night and cocoa with children already at the school.

During the two days all of the children will have a wonderful opportunity to meet many of the staff and pupils and to get a real feel for life at the Junior School. Even if your child is likely to be a day pupil, we would warmly welcome them for an overnight stay as a boarder for the weekend, which will make the weekend all the more fun for everyone.

Alongside this parents have the opportunity to look around the Junior and Senior schools and ask any questions they may have over an informal lunch.

If you and your son/daughter would like more information on the Taster Weekend, please contact Shona Sutherland on 01343 837827 or email admissions@gordonstoun.org.uk
