The Junior School is new, purpose-built and stands in its own grounds at the west end of the Gordonstoun campus.
The School retains its own identity while enjoying all the advantages of being part of a larger, parent School.
A major new extension to the building will open in Autumn 2007. This will substantially expand both classroom and residential accommodation.
Teaching and learning
The main school building comprises classrooms, science laboratory, IT resources, library, recreation rooms and changing rooms.
Most lessons take place in the Junior School, but pupils also enjoy the advantage of being able to use top-class facilities in the Senior School for Music, Art and Design Technology.

Catering
Main meals are taken in the Junior School's dining-room, a room of its own within Gordonstoun's main refectory building.
The facilities are of the highest order, as is the quality of the food, with plenty of choice available at all meals.
Mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks and refreshments at other times are served in the Junior School itself.
