The 1st VII suffered their first loss for a while against Grantown Ospreys in the Highland and Moray League; however a lot of positives to take away from the game against a very strong opposition. Whilst Ospreys presented a fast attack up the court, Gordonstoun still kept applying pressure and turning over possession and maximising the opportunities to score when possible. Ospreys played well in defence also, receiving some well-timed interceptions. Some excellent shots in from Megan H, who supported by Isla G and Sheridan B, moved around the circle with great intensity. A good effort from both teams!

The U13As played their annual local friendly against Grantown Grammar where they were initially well matched with the oppositionleading to a 7-6 half-time score. However, Gordonstoun picked up the pace in the second half and ended up winning 17-9. On the same day,the U15As travelled to Arbroath for their Round Three Scottish Cup match against Arbroath High. For the first three quarters, Arbroath played a very smooth attack up the court, consistent shooting and with some very strong defence at the other end. In the last quarter, Gordonstoun found their feet and won the quarter 10-2; however it was not enough to make up the goal difference with the end score being 33-22. It was a valuable learning experience and the U15s are improving with every match. Despite the U15s now being knocked out of the Cup, there are still a few matches in line for them to demonstrate some great team work.
today was the annual block fixture against Strathallan school with over 50 Gordonstoun girls getting on the court over the day. A valuable day of fixtures against some strong opponents meant that all squads fell short of the win; however it was a great experience for all.
The U15 A and B teams played their first fixture together against Cults Academy. The Bs showed great development from the start of the term and demonstrated great team work in the match, but lost out to a strong opposition with the end result being 11-6. the A team is also gradually gelling as a squad, with the income of exchange students adding some excellent personal skills to the team. Their fixture against Cults was competitive until the end, with Gordonstoun coming out on top 23-21.
The U14s started their netball term off with the third round of the Moray Junior Netball School’s League. With five games in hand, they won 4 out of the 5 and drew the other which was the best performance from them so far.
The Junior School have also been involved in some local friendlies, with the U13As and Bs competing in a tri-school tournament against Milburn Academy and Inverness Royal Academy. The Bs played with great determination, and showed some great personal skills, along with the A team who played with a fast pace and accurate shots, placing them as winners of the tournament.
Gordonstoun netball was off to a busy start to the season with the 1st VII heading away to Glasgow straight away to play St Peter the Apostle School in the Round 2 Scottish Cup match.
