Simon Limpus and David Murray - Altyre 1999

In February 2012 adventurers Simon Limpus (Altyre 1999) and David Murray (Altyre 1999) will embark on a 1500km charity race across the frozen Siberian wilderness on an "Old School" 1940's Ural motorbike and side cart.

There are 15 teams competing in this race. Each team has two riders with one motorbike and no support or set route.

This is not an adventure for the weak hearted, they'll be battling temperatures from -40 to -60 degrees, snow blizzards that will freeze exposed skin instantly and winds that will knock them of their feet. If this wasn't enough they'll also be faced with only 3 hours of daylight each day.
