Gordonstoun was delighted to welcome over 130 OGs, former staff and guests back to school for GA Day 2012. Coffee and a welcome from the Principal, Simon Reid, was followed by presentations from students who had participated in International Service Projects in locations such as Thailand, Romania and the Sinai.

In the afternoon there were performances of drama, music and dance in the Ogstoun Theatre and then a thrilling display to mark the 70th anniversary of the Fire Service at Gordonstoun (see separate report). In the evening there were drinks with the Year 13 pupils followed by an excellent diner in the Aberlour dining room at which Georgina Middleton thanked the school on behalf of the GA for their hospitality and at which Simon Reid gave a very upbeat ‘State of the (Gordonstoun) Nation’ address.
