Missing Person

The following police press release went out last week and Zis' mother Dr Pauline Souflas wrote to us saying that Zis had recently attended the wedding of Siddhartha Thapa (Altyre 2004) in Nepal and had subsequently disappeared whilst trekking in the Himalayas.

The Press Release reads...

ZISIMOS SOUFLAS was last heard from in Namche Bazar, Khumbu Region, Nepal around the 23rd April 2012, from where he was planning to go to the Everest Base Camp. As far as we know he was travelling alone.

Zisimos is a 27 year old UK national from Sheffield.

He went to Nepal to attend the wedding of a school friend, and stayed on to do some volunteering work. Following this he went trekking in the Sagarmatha National Park, which he entered on 23rd April.  It is believed that he stayed at the Hotel Tibet in Namche Bazar. No one has heard from him since this time.
Nepali Police are continuing with their Missing Person investigation in the search for Zisimos. The family are now appealing more widely for information from anybody who may have seen him from April onwards to get in touch.

The family have requested that their privacy is respected.
