Paris - Dakar by Bike

From a young age, Shamoon Qureshi had a fascination with the Paris-Dakar Rally and a love for travelling, but cycling this great distance was a deep desire.

The start of the journey in France was rather gruelling, as he and his team were not used to cycling such vast distances day after day. Nevertheless, France mesmerised them with its beauty and finally the scale of their journey began to set in. Spain was hot and the team was faced with its worst enemy, the unforgiving hills all the way to the southern coastline. Shamoon found the cultural change across the straits of Gibraltar very interesting, Morocco reminded him of home.
