Vancouver Gathering

Edward Stanford (RS ’81) was accompanied by Cornelia Hahn Oberlander, niece of Gordonstoun Founder Kurt Hahn, “I drove Cornelia home after the dinner, and she pulled out the Hahn family tree to show me the larger network that Kurt was just a part of. At my insistence, she has committed to getting a copy of the Hahn genealogy copied and sent over to Gordonstoun for its archives. There is already a copy at Salem school in Germany. Cornelia was thrilled to be a part of a very special evening”, he said.

David Howe (Duffus ’60)  was also effusive in his comments: “Just to let you know that the evening was fantastic. It was just wonderful how everyone communicated and laughed and had lots to talk about. Everyone kept saying how much it meant to have this opportunity of a Canadian gathering and Cornelia has planned the next venue. There was a lot of talk amongst everyone of wanting to stay in touch and visit during the year and hopefully to expand on the numbers. It was a wonderful combination of people hence there were lots of stories of the many years of Gordonstoun.”

A big thank you to Moyra for hosting this fantastic event. We hope that this will be the first of many such gatherings.
