Charity Auction

The Committee of the Junior Highland Games at Gordonstoun is delighted to announce this very rare opportunity to bid for a unique piece of London 2012 and Aberlour/Gordonstoun memorabilia.  This vest, part of the set Heather Stanning was given to wear at the London 2012 Olympics, has been signed by both Heather and her rowing partner Helen Glover, and comes beautifully framed by specialist framers Sportsframe, including brass plaque and photos of Heather and Helen winning their gold.  As Britain’s first ever women’s rowing gold medallists and also the first gold medallists for Team GB at London 2012, this is an important part of GB sporting history, made all the more special for the Aberlour and Gordonstoun family by its strong associations with both Schools.

This will be a silent auction, with bids being submitted by email to deveyr@gordonstoun.org.uk The auction will be won by the highest bidder at the end of the Junior Highland Games at 5pm on Saturday 27th April 2013.  All proceeds from the auction will be given to local charities, including this year’s two designated charities, Give Them a Sporting Chance and the Moray Beekeepers’ Association.

The current highest bid will be shown, anonymously, on the Gordonstoun and Aberlour House websites throughout the bidding period.

All email bids must be submitted to deveyr@gordonstoun.org.uk in advance of the start of the Highland Games at 11am on 27th April.
