GA Weekend

It was absolutely wonderful to welcome so many folk back to Gordonstoun at the weekend. From golf on Thursday and Friday through GA Day on Saturday to chapel and lunch on Sunday there were so many stories to share and so many old friends to be reacquainted with. On GA Day itself there were close to 200 folk through the course of the day and around 180 at the excellent  dinner in the evening.  I know that those returning were enthralled by the various student presentations and it was terrific to see so many OGs playing hockey, cricket, netball, tennis and five-a-side soccer.  The school campus was looking splendid and there was a real ‘buzz’ in the air. It was a particular delight to welcome back some of the ‘original’ girls (from as far afield as Canada and Germany) as well as the various ‘satellite’ reunions – RS, Class of ’93 etc -  all added to the occasion. I do hope that all of those who returned enjoyed their visit and I hope that the next GA Day -  May 3rd 2014 (the school’s 80th birthday) -  is firmly in your diary.

Until then!
