The Henderson Climbing Wall

The Lord Lieutenant of Moray, Lt. Col. Grenville Johnston, OBE, OStJ, TD visited Gordonstoun on Friday, 27 June to open formally the refurbished ‘Henderson Climbing Wall’.  This was first built in 1988 in memory of Gordon Moray Henderson, Old Gordonstounian who died in a climbing accident on Ben Nevis aged 29.  It was endowed as part of Gordon’s legacy by his mother, May Henderson (pictured) who has again funded this outstanding new facility.

The Climbing Wall will be used by Gordonstoun students and by local schools and community groups.
