HealthyLiving Award for Refectory

Catering Services Manager, Julie Broadhurst, and Catering Co-ordinator, Kirsty Taylor, recently joined caterers from across the length and breadth of Scotland at the 10th HealthyLiving Awards at Trades Hall in Glasgow. The awards are hosted by NHS Scotland and over 70 of the businesses represented were presented with an award in recognition of the fact that at least 50% of their menu contains healthier options. We are delighted to have previously achieved and, this year, maintained the HealthyLiving Award which Kirsty (pictured) accepted on the School's behalf from celebrity chef Tony Singh.

Kirsty, who has been instrumented in the various initiatives which helped the Refectory achieve and maintain the award, started work in the Rectory in 2007 as a general Catering Assistant, and was promoted to the role of Catering Co-ordinator in 2011 after completing her HNC. She is currently on maternity leave enjoying time with her baby daughter but still maintains a keen interest in the School, especially the refectory.
