Spring Term 2017

Fire Service Training

At a recent Fire Service training session, the Unit had a visit from the water carrier which is based at Buckie.  The firefighters who crew the appliance gave the Gordonstoun Firefighters a quick tour around the vehicle before they all headed to the lake for a training exercise. This involved a water relay from the water carrier to the portable dam which it carries then via the Unit's LPP (lightweight portable pump) to the main pump of the Gordonstoun appliance and finally into the lake through a hose and branch.

The firefighters from the Gordonstoun unit all enjoyed this opportunity to work with other colleagues in the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and gain some experience of an appliance and kit that they might encounter during future call-outs.
