News from the Junior School - Week 6
The Macmillan Cake Morning is a Real Treat
Last Friday, during morning piece, the Junior School held our Macmillan Coffee Morning. Whilst we may have left the caffeinated drinks out on this occasion, we did make sure we baked lots of tasty cakes and treats for the children to come in and enjoy during their morning break. Each child donated at least £1.00 towards the Macmillan Cancer Support group who will be receiving a final total of £250.00 from the Junior School. What a tasty way to raise money for such a great charity!
Junior School String Orchestra Plays Suberbly
Last week, we welcomed children from Albyn School and the Highland Region to join our young musicians to make music together with our string group. The results were truly delightful, especially the fantastic performance of ‘Jason and the Golden Fleece’. Great work from everyone who participated!
Offering that Little Bit More
As a school, Gordonstoun aims to offer children the opportunity to broaden their experiences and try new things. As part of this effort, there is a fantastic range of ‘extra’ activities, with the children getting the opportunity to spend some of their Games time going horse riding, sailing and kayaking!
