News from the Junior School - Week 9
In recent computing classes, Years 2 & 3 were joined by Year 6. The idea of the lesson was to allow the Year 6 students the opportunity to show their leadership skills and work with the younger children to show them some interesting skills they have learnt to do on computers! The lesson was well received by all parties with everyone having fun whilst extending their computing knowledge. We will ’monitor’ their progress carefully!
Taking Off at the Weekend
On the last Sunday before half term, the boarders went on a trip out to Morayvia. Morayvia is a Science and Technology Experience centre where the children were able to explore old de-commissioned aircraft, fly flight simulators and wander through the night sky in the Morayvia Planetarium. It was a fantastic trip which was thoroughly enjoyed by everybody. Some budding pilots in the making?
Science Garden Project Goes on an Adventure
In the last projects session before the break, Mrs Csenki and the Science Garden group went on a service trip out of school to Burgie Arboretum. The children helped by removing cut branches and clearing paths as well as having a fascinating tour and learning about the many interesting species of tree that are grown from seed at Burgie.
