Spring Term 2018

Winter Charity Ball

Last Saturday the Year 10s organised the annual Winter Ball, which was held in the Sixth Form Centre. They chose to use the funds from ticket sales to support the Aberlour Childcare Trust. All of the Year 9 and 10 students were invited and over 100 students attended.

Students were welcomed with Shloer in Champagne glasses and the disco started soon afterwards with a playlist chosen by the Year 10 organising committee. Dancing was interrupted only when, much to everyone’s delight, the pizza arrived half way through the evening. After a quick stop for refuelling, the disco continued until close time.

The evening was a roaring success. Everyone had made a real effort to come dressed to impress and there was lots of enthusiastic dancing and singing. The biggest result of the evening, though, was that they raised over £200 in support of the local charity!
