News from the Junior School Week 5
Music Tour Departs
On Wednesday, the Junior School Music Tour departed for Madrid alongside some of our wonderful Music staff. Before they left, the children performed in Chapel where we were treated to a small ‘dress rehearsal’. The tour group played a few of the pieces that will be performed in Madrid. The music was fantastic and it is fair to say that if this was anything to go by, the tour will be a huge success!
The Junior School Goes Skiing
On Wednesday, the Junior School enjoyed their first ski day of the season. Conditions were perfect. The pictures speak for themselves!
A Warm Welcome to Mr Richards
We are delighted to welcome Mr John Richards, who will join our school after the February break. Mr Richards has extensive teaching experience and will teach History to Years 6, 7 and 8. Mr Richards has travelled the world whilst teaching and is also keen on rugby, cycling and cricket. We very much look forward to getting to know him over the coming weeks, while he covers Mrs Denyer’s maternity leave.
Over the past couple of weeks, many of the Junior School children have been participating in the RSPB Birdwatch. Here at The Junior School, we treasure the great outdoors and know that it is crucial that we do our bit for the planet. A big thank you to Mrs Burtt who encouraged the school to take part in the Birdwatch and will be submitting our results. Also a thank you to all of the children and form teachers who took part!
