News from the Junior School Week 7
Excellent English Work
Year 8 have designed their own holiday brochures during their English classes. The children were allowed to write about a destination of their choosing, providing that they could use their persuasive writing techniques to help convince us that their destination was the place to visit on holiday. It’s fair to say the Junior School staff are conflicted about where to spend their Easter breaks in a few weeks’ time!
Music Tour is a Resounding Success
During half term, our young musicians returned home having spent their first few days away representing the school on the Junior School Music Tour to Madrid. It was a fantastic trip where the children showcased their great musical skills with three fabulous concerts. They also enjoyed museums, a theme park and tapas!
Scottish Prep Schools Ski Championships
Before the half term break, twelve of our Junior School children travelled to Glenshee to compete in the Scottish Prep Schools Ski Race. The event is always highly competitive, with nine different schools competing this year. Congratulations to everyone who took part on behalf of the school and who represented us so well. A special mention for Angus M and Brodie M who were placed 3rd in the U13 and U11 races respectively, whilst the team consisting of Angus M, Brodie M, Arran L-J and Ottilie M placed 3rd overall. Well done!
