Year 12 Expeditions

Year 12 Summer expedition

The Summer Term expedition programme got underway lastweekend.  Eighty five Year 12 students participated in their Final Unaccompanied expeditions in a variety of the wild, remote and beautiful parts of the Scottish Highlands. The weather was pretty kind to the 11 groups over the weekend with most enjoying sunshine and cloud free summits on the Saturday.

All groups were self-sufficient throughout the three days, taking ownership of their navigation and campcraft as a team, whilst coping admirably with the challenges of two cold nights camping in the hills. All the expeditions passed off without incident which was a testament to the tenacity and resilience of all the students involved.
