The boarding Houses turned out in force recently for what is probably the most fun of all the inter-House competitions – the tug of war. Each House entered a junior and a senior team and all took the opportunity to dress in their House colours and don war paint for the coming battle.

The large crowd of spectators were enthusiastic, vociferous and partisan but it was a good-natured, friendly atmosphere enjoyed by competitors and onlookers alike. Duffus House swept the board for the boys, winning the junior and senior competitions, with Hopeman winning the junior girls’ competition and Plewlands taking the honours for the senior girls.

The full results were:

Junior Girls
1st - Hopeman
2nd - Windmill Lodge
3rd - Plewlands

Junior Boys
1st - Duffus
2nd - Cumming
3rd - Bruce
4th - Round Square
