Andrew Bruce - Cumming 1979

Andrew Bruce (Cumming 1979) will set off on 7th July 2011 on his solo walk from London to Rome (2,000km) in aid of HELP for HEROES, where he hopes to raise £100,000 for this worthy charity.

Before Andrew sets off there will be a short Eucharist service (Communion) to be celebrated by The Right Reverend Richard Chartres, The Bishop of London at 8am (all attending MUST please be seated by 7:50am) in St Dunstan's Chapel within St Paul's Cathedral. Andrew will depart from the front steps of St Paul's Cathedral promptly at 8:30am, having had his journey blessed by Bishop Richard, who is also presenting him with a letter to deliver to the Bishop of Rome (His Holiness The Pope).

Andrew invites you to come along with your family to support him. Andrew, and his supporters, will walk over the adjacent "Millenium foot bridge" serenaded by bagpiper's before he waves farewell and heads east along the Thames path and on to Rome.....!! Any "keenies" who would like to walk with Andrew as far as Greenwich and The Cutty Sark, are most welcome to do so.

The Gordonstoun Association wishes Andrew all the best with this challenge and we hope many OGs will come along in support. Further infomation can been seen on Andrew's flyer.
