Plewlands House is the newest of the three girls’ boarding Houses and is currently home to over 70 girls aged 13-18. It is centrally located on the campus being within easy reach of the refectory, chapel, music school, and last but not least, classrooms. Plewlands is a modern, purpose-built boarding House with both spacious, dormitory-style rooms for the Juniors and cosy, individual study bedrooms for the Seniors.
I live at Plewlands with my husband Neil Gregson and our chihuahua, Ruby. Our door is always open to the girls and we definitely see them as an extension of our family.
Plewlands is a happy House full of laughter. Integrity, Compassion and Service are at the core of what we believe in and, while we are fortunate to experience all Gordonstoun has to offer, we try and do as much as possible to help our local and wider communities. The House is run by a team of highly experienced staff. The AHM, Ms Mullan, lives within the House and is of great support to the girls as is our Matron, Mrs Lerner, and the team of tutors who guide the girls academically and support them as they develop as individuals. Most important, though, is that this is the girls' home while they are at Gordonstoun and we aim to provide a family atmosphere. The girls are encouraged to take ownership of the House and, as well as having responsibilities for looking after it, contribute ideas to how it can be made to feel their own.
A Gordonstoun life is a busy life and Plewlands is a place to which the girls can come back in the knowledge that it is theirs and they feel at home.
