Latest Rugby News

Senior rugby takes place each Tuesday and Thursday with additional team preparation sessions every Friday. The Senior squad typically consists of about 50 players. The First XV and U16 teams will play every weekend throughout the Autumn Term and the Second XV on a more occasional basis.

The First XV participate in the Caledonia Premier League as well as the Scottish Schools' Cup, where they are one of the ‘seeded' sides, and the North Schools' Cup, where they are currently the holders. They also play a number of ‘friendly' matches. The U16 team participate in the North of Scotland Development League. Players from the squad have the opportunity to go forward to play District representative rugby and a number of boys have gone on to gain National age group honours in Scotland and beyond, including Kenya and the USA!

In recent years the Senior rugby players have had the opportunity to enjoy tours abroad and they have played some wonderful rugby in Argentina, Chile and South Africa.
