Homewood House
Welcome to the Homewood House pages.
Homewood is for Sixth Form boys and has the distinction of being the newest and the smallest of all the school Houses, enabling it to be truly home-like. Individual attention, warmth and friendship, and pleasant surroundings, provide the foundations on which every member of the House should be able to excel inside and outside the classroom.

As its name implies, Homewood is located at the edge of the wooded area of the school estate and provides a high standard of accommodation. All members of the House have their own well-appointed and wireless enabled studies, with superb bathroom close by. A large Common Room with its own French windows and large garden allows the boys to relax and socialise, and a fully-equipped kitchen and laundry help to give the impression that the House is similar to University accommodation, making it an excellent place for Sixth Formers to begin making the transition to young adulthood and tertiary education. Most important of all, Homewood is closest to the Refectory!
The House has a full range of social and sporting events and, for many of these - particularly for the purpose of inter-House competitions - teams up with its near neighbour, Gordonstoun House.
As well as being Housemaster, I also teach History and coach Rugby and Rowing. Both myself and my Assistant, Mr James Sagar, are resident in the House and, together with Matron and an Old English sheepdog called Bonnie, we provide all pastoral and academic supervision and guidance for the boys.
Mr Niall Browne
