Squash has been thriving at Gordonstoun for thirty years!

Students of all ages use the courts recreationally and for matches, throughout the year – but it is during the longer, darker winter evenings that squash really takes off.

Students opt for Squash as a senior activity and training sessions are organised weekly for team members and the visit of the Regional Development Officer is a real highlight and anticipated enthusiastically.

Three teams play local teams on a Thursday evening in the Moray Firth League and enjoy matches home and away against teams from Inverness, Nairn, Forres, Elgin Keith, Buckpool and RAF teams from Lossiemouth and Kinloss. Competition is strong and the games are always played in good spirit and with great fun!

Regular squash tours are arranged. Recently teams have toured Turkey, Venice and Spain. Tours really build up a great team spirit and camaraderie which carries on often after the students leave School and acts as a spur to improve standards and enabling them to see wonderful parts of the world.
