Studying in Sixth Form

Gordonstoun aims to prepare Sixth Form students for life beyond formal education.

Many activities on offer are designed to develop our Founder, Dr Kurt Hahn's, ideal of the whole person, fit and willing to face the challenges of real life.

Sixth Form students study the English A level curriculum. These are two-year courses, assessed in twice-yearly examinations.

The academic regime is designed to provide students with a balance of guidance and freedom. Students must do two hours of prep each evening, but may spend study lessons and other study periods in a place of study of their choice: library, study bedroom or subject area.
