Bank Catering Assistants

Bank Catering Assistants are required to cover holiday periods and high volume events. The ideal candidate will be a methodical, careful individual, who takes pride in completing repetitive tasks to a high standard and on a consistent basis.


Temporary Chemistry Laboratory Technician
(** closing date extended ** 29 October 2018)

We are looking for a suitably qualified person to To provide an efficient support service for the Chemistry Teaching Staff, of which there are currently four in the department. He/She will be one of three technicians in the Science Department, one for each subject area.


Painter/Decorator
(** closing date extended **  12 October 2018)

We are seeking to appoint a time-served painter and decorator to provide a professional decoration and re-decoration service within the school as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor and in line with the Painting Programme. This is a full time post, 39 hours per week


First Mate
(** closing date extended ** 29 October 2018)

Gordonstoun is seeking a First mate with a proven track record in positions of responsibility on sail training vessels and at least two seasons sailing in vessels over 20m. LOA as First Mate. Experience of instructing in smaller vessels, safety boat work and refit management and practical skills are also important for this post.


Sailing Instructor
(** closing date extended **  29 October 2018)

The Post Holder would act as RYA Chief Instructor at our sailing base in Hopeman and facilitate the delivery of our small boat sailing programme. Sailing activities are usually timetabled outside of the academic day (usually afternoons and weekends) leaving time in the working day for boat maintenance and other tasks and there is an expectation that the post holder will also be involved in an area of the school beyond their sailing instructing duties.


Second Mate (Seasonal)
(5 November 2018)

The Seasonal Second Mate is a key member of the Sail Training team and plays an important role in the delivery of the Sail Training programme at Gordonstoun. Work is usually on board Ocean Spirit of Moray, Gordonstoun’s 80 foot Sail Training ketch, and employment is on a fixed term contract for the whole of Ocean Spirit’s sailing season.
