Year 9 is a Foundation Year for all our students. Not only is it a preparation for students taking GCSE studies in subsequent years but it is also a link year between a student’s existing school, whether prep, maintained or overseas, and senior school.
It is a time for sound study habits but also for some adventurous learning.
We screen all students shortly after they arrive. This ensures each student's academic programme best suits his or her needs.
In addition to a comprehensive academic curriculum we offer:
- a wide range of activities in the Broader Curriculum;
- Information Communication Technology (ICT) across the whole curriculum;
- extra Music tuition;
- a strong emphasis on International and Spiritual Citizenship; and
- learning support and English language support specialists.
Open Life in Year 9, which includes the full Year 9 Curriculum.
