DOMESTIC SERVICES / LAUNDRY ASSISTANT (Various Roles)

Situated on the beautiful Moray Coast in the North of Scotland, Gordonstoun is widely recognised as the world leader in character education. We have a co-educational community of over 500 students aged from 6-18, who are predominantly full boarding and are drawn from over 40 countries.

The Domestic Services department is fundamental to the smooth running of Gordonstoun. With more than 50 buildings, a dozen of which provide sleeping accommodation, the estate is huge. The team comprises of more than 20 staff who provide efficient cleaning and laundry to over 600 students and staff.

We offer a range of free accredited training courses to support staff and help them in their chosen profession or diversify into other roles.

There is a generous pension scheme and other staff support benefits.

We have our own fleet of Minibuses which allows us to offer subsidised transport from Hopeman, Burghead and Lossiemouth.

The award-winning chefs at our Refectory offer a diverse range of foods cooked on site and you will be entitled to free staff meals while on shift. You will receive free PVG status and have access to a staff discount scheme and cycle to work scheme.

Seven weeks holiday a year is standard for full time staff, and this role offers an extra two weeks holiday at Christmas. For the permanent roles, working hours are on average 38.83 hours per week for 43 weeks per year.

We have a generous pay salary which is performance led, with the potential to work your way up the pay scales or look at interdepartmental working, where you can apply to work across a range of roles within the Facilities Team.
