Situated on the beautiful Moray Coast in the North of Scotland, Gordonstoun is widely recognised as the world leader in character education. We have a co-educational community of over 500 students aged from 6-18, who are predominantly full boarding and are drawn from over 40 countries.

The Junior School is an exciting and homely place to live and learn; it has c.120 pupils aged 5 - 13, around a third of whom are boarders. It has a wide and varied timetable and enjoys the use of superb modern facilities for sports, the performing arts, outdoor learning and other activities.
Junior School Assistants play a key role in the running of the school, helping care for boarders and day pupils and support their learning in the classroom and beyond. They have a positive ‘can do’ attitude, and embrace our school motto ‘Plus Est En Vous’ (there is more in you) in their approach. Successful applicants will have some experience of working with children in a learning and/or caring environment. The ability to coach sports such as rugby, hockey, tennis, athletics, swimming is an advantage.
Previous postholders have gone on to teaching degrees, PGDEs and pastoral roles.
This is a residential post with accommodation and meals provided. Junior School Assistants must register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and meet all conditions connected with this.
