We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and qualified Maintenance Joiner who has experience and working knowledge of carrying out a variety of handyperson and joinery tasks in support of the maintenance team as we conduct maintenance, repairs and installations within existing buildings across campus. The right candidate will take pride in completing these works while ensuring student and staff experience and stakeholder standards are maintained, while upholding safety guidelines and complying with codes and regulations.
There may also be the opportunity within this role to demonstrate the ability to take on further responsibility, progressing towards becoming the Maintenance Supervisor.
Maintenance Joiner Job Duties include:
Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, repairs and refurbishments of existing building works.
Making and fitting specific joinery items and/or furniture.
Carrying out day to day handypersons tasks and snagging works such as basic re-decoration works.
Assist other trades within the team with tasks if required.
Assess the materials and parts needed for a job, place and track orders for those parts.
Provide professional assessments and advice.
Previous joinery experience and the ability to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, customer service skills, risk assessment, joinery apprenticeship, diagnostics, fault finding, valid UK driver's license, initiative, responsibility, safety, professional appearance.
