Pupil Support Worker

Gordonstoun are seeking to recruit female Pupil Support Workers to provide a supportive and positive learning experience to a Student on a fixed term contract until Friday 20 March 2020.

The role will involve contributing to every aspect of day to day life for the Student both inand out of the classroom, helping with any personal and well-being needs, attending to pastoral needs & development and being efficient and pro-active to ensure a caring, safe and supportive environment at all times. This role provides a genuine opportunity to impact on the life of the Student.

Applicants should be educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) in Maths and English. Experience of working in schools or a related caring profession will be advantageous.

Successful candidates will be people who are flexible and adaptable with the ability to enthuse and inspire the Student in all aspects of learning and daily life. The ability to demonstrate empathy and to respond positively to a variety of needs is essential as is the ability to use initiative and have a commitment to ensuring the best possible outcomes for the Student.

We welcome applications from candidates willing to be fully involved in school life, including the wide range of sporting, creative or outdoor activities.

In line with the occupational requirements of the Equality Act 2010, only female applicants over the age of 18 can apply for this role.

The role is required from 7am to 9pm, Monday to Sunday so part time applicants are welcomed. Staff have use of the Sports Centre/Pool on campus and free meals.
