New Gordonstoun Principal Appointed

In Autumn 2024. Peter Green, the current Executive Headmaster of Rugby School Group, will take up the post of Principal at Gordonstoun. Peter will succeed Lisa Kerr, who will have served as Principal at Gordonstoun for over 7 years, and was previously a Governor at the school, who is moving to become Principal of George Watson’s College in Edinburgh. An experienced school leader, who has previously been at the helm of Ardingly and Rugby School, this will be Peter’s third headship.
David White, Chair of Governors at Gordonstoun, said:

The Governors are hugely grateful to Lisa Kerr for all the work she has done to lead Gordonstoun forward and re-establish the school as a global leader, as well as a vital part of the Moray and Scottish educational landscape. Peter Green is the ideal successor, someone who can build on all that has already been achieved and ensure Gordonstoun thrives towards its centenary.”
